On 1 April 1904 Bronislaus started studying in Handwerkskammer schule (Crafts school) in Bromberg to become a “bricklayer for Gnesen” (für maurer zu Gnesen). During this study he was already working as an apprentice bricklayer in Gnesen.

The photo below shows his diploma exam (lehrbrif) with final assessment “genügend”. On the right bottom side a signature Bronislaus Kubasik is visible – the original signature of my great grandfather.

The Handwerkskammer schule was renamed in 1911 to Königlich Preussische Handwerks-Gewerbeschule (Imperial-Royal School of Crafts and Art Crafts).
