Black band on the field caps was reserved for technical units (pioneers, aviation and railway units) for field artillery and and several individual cavalry regiments. On the front of the cap there are visible cockades Imperial German and Kingdom of Prussia.
Presented here cap belonged to the Imperial German artilleryman from F.A.R…Feldartillerie Regiment, unfortunately the regiment number is partly illegible the particular regiment number is invisible.

The lining of the cap has some handwritten signatures, presumably signatures of the owner and probably part of the manufacturer name “Arimeiar”.
