The front wappen (the front plate) is a standard “linien-adler” for Infantry.
The helmet has a standard lining for pickelhaubes model 1895. On the internal side of the lining a stamp of B.A.VII ( VII Armee Korps) and date 1915 are visible.
On the helmet skull there are marks of J.R.56 04 for Infanterie Regiment Vogel von Falkenstein (7. Westfälisches) Nr.56 garrisoned in Wesel and Kleve. Date 1904 (04) and the manufacturer’s stamp are visible but difficult to read.
