A soldier shoulder strap from stationed in my home town Infanterie Regiment Graf Kirchbach (1. Niederschlesisches) Nr. 46. Before the War regiment that stationed in Posen and Wreschen (V Army Corps).
That particular shoulder strap is called “Vereinfacht” which means simplified. The simplified uniform was introduced in March 1915 just before introduction of common M1915 blouse.

Simplified shoulder strap had no coloured piping as well as the it mounting method was not specified. There are simplified shoulder straps similar in shape to shoulder straps M1915 for blouse M1915 which normally were sewn. There are also simplified shoulder straps very similar to the early M1910 pattern which has a special tongue on the back to attach it to the loop on the tunic shoulder.

Presented here shoulder strap is an example of the “Vereinfacht” simplified shoulder strap.

I would be happy to hear from you
